There are more people nowadays who would like to pack in their 9 to 5 jobs and start their own business. However the difference between those who want to do it and those who do something about it is absolutely staggering. Creating your own business either as a sole ownership or one who starts up in affiliate marketing can be both be very beneficial providing you are prepared to put the time and effect into them.

 

Sole Ownership

Requires a great deal of effect in finding products sourcing them at the correct price and availability. Obtaining premises to present those products to your potential customers and the outlaying cost involved. Advertising your services in things like the local paper to start you customer flow, and let’s not forget your competitors you will be up against, you will need to have a well set out business plan to attract those customers away from the competitors. As you can appreciate this will involve you in substantial costs and don’t forget you will need some money in reserve so that you can live until the business gets going and making a profit, but once it is up and running and making a good profit you will have achieved your first aim that of working for yourself and responsible to only yourself.

 

Affiliate Marketing Business

Provides many beneficial advantages over a sole ownership business. The main benefits being you are not laying out the same amount of money that you will in a sole ownership business. You do not have to search round for products that will be unique to you and the initial cost layout for the product is not there.

 

Marketing well known brands are easier to sell than not so well known brands, as long as those products /brands have a good reputation. You are not developing or making the product someone as already done all this costly and hard work. It is your job to market the item, get people interested in it and persuading them to buy it. At first glance this may seem like an easy option but believe me when I say it’s not as easy as it sounds.

 

Affiliate marketing is selling on the internet or World Wide Web, depends on what definition you like to use. Therefore you are not laying out for things like premises and the initial stock of products; this makes the operation less risky you can also start the business in your spare time therefore not having to give up your regular income until such time that your affiliate marketing business is giving you a good return to replace this income. All in all a lot less of a risk for you and your family.

Product/s obtainable from sites such as Clickbank (no cost to you)

A way of telling potential customers about your products. (Website some cost depending how you do it). If you are prepared to learn coding (not that frightening if you follow a good instructor) plenty of free information on the net!

A good domain name – product related (will cost) I use Godaddy.com always been good for me.

Hosting of the website – definite cost but not too high, or you can join a membership site and get free hosting.

Traffic to your site and getting ranked by the search engines, requires a lot of learning and a great deal of time and determination on your part, but not impossible.

There is a lot more to affiliate marketing than I have noted here but you can learn it and do it in your spare time will greatly reduce the initial cost it can also be very rewarding, interesting and fun to do, great community out there to help you along. One word of warning well more than one really, there are an awful lot of rouges on the internet who will promise to make you a millionaire overnight if you buy into their systems, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. If it sounds to good to be true it is! You do not get something for nothing in this world.
